Andrii Afanasiev

Andrii Afanasiev, born in 1977 in Ukraine, is a distinguished painter and master restorer celebrated for his romantic floral compositions and serene marine landscapes. He began formal art training at the Dnipropetrovsk State Art College, graduating in 1996, and later earned his diploma in Painting and Restoration from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in Kyiv in 2004. Since 2005, Andrii has served as a master painter and restorer at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Ukraine, also contributing to the Museum of Theater, Music and Cinema of Ukraine. His ethereal, semi-abstract floral works blend classical technique with modern expressiveness, bridging tradition with innovation. His art has been exhibited internationally, including at ArtPrize in Michigan and numerous national galleries. Currently based in Kyiv with his wife, Andrii continues to preserve Ukraine’s cultural heritage while creating art that evokes emotion, stillness, and beauty.
